New In: The Latest Materials, Fixtures and Fittings

Creative and innovative new materials, fixtures and fittings are always being released. In a Clerkenwell Design Week special, we look at some our top picks unveiled at the event

Graypants Chrona lights

Part of a range of lighting made from recycled materials offered by Pad Home, Graypants’ Chrona series combines spun brass and diffused acrylic to create a collection of pendants that are designed to mimic the phosphorescent envelope around stars. The lights, which are available in both vertical and horizontal orientations, are designed to work as striking individual centrepieces or clustered together to form ‘constellations’.

The Haberdasher’s Kitchen

Inspired by mid-century English furniture, The Haberdasher’s Kitchen is a new range from luxury bespoke kitchen maker DeVol. An iteration of the company’s retro-inspired Air Kitchen, it features curved laminated oak frames and rolled metal end panels, complimented by mottled copper end panels and brass detailing. Inspired by traditional haberdashers, the range also features glazed and tambour-style slat fronts.

Shades 62880 Flooring

Designed to look and feel like natural wooden flooring, Shades is a new addition to Moduleo’s range of luxury vinyl flooring. With easy installation and high durability, it is suitable for high-footfall areas, making it a good choice for both high-end commercial and residential projects. The flooring features intricate embossed details that are designed to cast shadows and create a striking final finish.

Freestanding Bath Filler

A new addition to Samuel Heath’s Landmark collection, the freestanding bath filler draws from industrial design to create a product ideal for high-end residential or hotel projects. Part of the Industrial range, the bath filler, as with all of the Landmark collection, is inspired by Bauhaus, and is manufactured in the company’s factory in Birmingham, the UK.

Cello acoustic panels

Part of Casalis’ Architextiles range of acoustic panels, Cello is the latest in a line of collaborations with Polish designer Aleksandra Gaca. Consisting of a woven 3D textile, it is designed to cover entire walls, the sides of object or be suspended on a ceiling-mounted panel, making it a versatile solution to soundproofing. Cello is available in nine colours, ranging from creme, pictured, to pure black.
