From cuffs to comfort: inside the new Great Scotland Yard Hotel 

Once the famed home of coppers and criminals, 3-5 Scotland Yard in London has been revamped to offer a very different kind of guest experience. Now the site of the UK’s first hotel in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, we take a look at the new luxury offering.

Formally the site of the original Great Scotland Yard Metropolitan Police HQ, this Grade II listed building has been converted into a 153-bedroom luxury hotel.

In homage to the hotel's heritage, the Edwardian façade has been restored with the addition of a statement clock, gas-style copper lanterns and plant boxes.

Originally five storeys in height, the structure has been extended with two new basement levels and two additional floors above the original roof level.

Inside, shield emblems and historic details have been etched into glass and metalwork in reference to the building's police and military history.

Secret doors give guests access to the whiskey bar, signature restaurant and private dining rooms.

Bathroom

Guests staying in the suite also have access to the accommodation’s private healing salt room, two massage rooms and fitness room.
