New In: The Latest Materials, Fixtures and Fittings

New and innovative materials, fixtures and fittings are always being released. Here’s our pick of some of the newest products to come onto the market

Alusplash kitchen splashback

A visually richer option for kitchen schemes, kitchen splashback provider Alusplash has released two new colours for its range: Aubergine and Totally Teal. Designed for modern schemes, these aluminium-based splashbacks feature a high-gloss surface that is designed to be shatter and crack-proof. The slashbacks are designed to work with a host of worktop surfaces, including marble and wood.

MPRO brassware collection

A new collection of brassware from Crosswater, MPRO includes bath and shower fixtures, basin mixers, bathroom accessories and valves. The collection is available in chrome, brushed stainless steel effect, brushed brass and matt black. The matt black is a particularly striking option for contemporary and industrial inspired schemes.

Axe Chopped wood planks

Forming part of the Relik reclaimed timber range from Havwoods flooring, Axe Chopped wood planks are a striking flooring and interior cladding option to provide a rustic, heavy finish. The planks are made from oak and are marked using various blades to provide an end-product that is designed to feel unique. The range is available in three finishes: ruby, sapphire and topaz.

Cement Tech Mini tiles

Playing into the current industrial trend, Cement Tech Mini is a tile range from Gemini Tiles that offers cement-effect designs in a range of hues. The range is designed for schemes looking to include the hugely popular look of a raw cement finish without the application and maintenance issues associated with the material. It is available in three shades – white, grey and anthracite – and both smooth and textured finishes.

Soleil Noir light

Designed by French architect and urban planner Odile Decq and Luceplan for Nedgis, the Soileil Noir is designed to evoke the black sun. Featuring an asymmetric style and an organic finish, it is designed to feel futuristic, making it a strong choice for modern schemes. Made from moulded polyurethane, it is surprisingly light, and features an LED light system that is designed to provide uniform illumination. It is also available as a ceiling light.
