Issue 58 october 2020 Preview

In the next issue of Design & Build Review, out in October, we’ll be turning our attention to the ever-advancing capabilities of digital technologies and how they are reshaping the world of architecture and construction. We’ll look at how generative design is playing a role, and consider how new projects in modular construction are rewriting the rules.

Elsewhere, we’ll look at how renewed efforts to make construction more sustainable are having an impact, particularly around alternatives to much-used but intensely harmful materials such as plastic and concrete.

Plus we’ll also look at the changing nature of neighbourhoods in light of the pandemic, and consider how a technology-infused focus on the local is impacting new developments.
