Top Virtual Events on Architecture in August and September

With physical events not yet possible in many parts of the world, there has been a surge in virtual events in architecture, giving attendees easy access from anywhere in the world. Here we highlight some of our favourite virtual events on architecture taking place in August and September

11 – 13 August

Designscape

A virtual design-focused event from the team behind Decorex, Designscape will focus on design in residential, hospitality and retail. Spanning topical symposiums and virtual discussions with a rich product directory and speed networking functionality, the event is designed to “forge virtual connections” at a time when physical conferences are unworkable.

15 – 23 August

Seattle Design Festival

For the first time occurring at a 100% virtual event, Seattle Design Festival is a free online event that this year is focusing on how design can help drive real, meaningful change around topics including the global public health crisis and entrenched racist systems. Events include a series of live-streamed webinars and online virtual programming.

4 – 18

September

Maison&Objet

This year running as a digital fair, legendary interior design conference Maison&Objet will be reimagined as a virtual event, with the physical version moved to January 2021. Included will be a wide selection of digital showrooms, alongside digital talks from leading names in the design industry on topics including post-Covid trends and consumer behaviours.

9 – 12

September

FABRICATE 2020

Co-organised by The Bartlett School of Architecture, Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning and Swinburne University of Technology, FABRICATE will be an online event focusing on the intersection of architecture, construction, engineering, manufacturing and material technologies. Expect webinars and live Q&As from leading names.

13 – 15

September

Top Drawer

Now being held virtually, Top Drawer is a showcase of new design brands and designers catering to a host of sectors, including hospitality. The digital platform will place a strong focus on networking and trade with information on new product launches, trends and case studies, as well as expert advice for those looking to expand the reach of their brands.
